Subject: [PCST] Call4Papers: SiS Activities for Children and Young People in the Context of Change

Conference - Call for Papers - Deadline for Submission 21st September 2011

"From Providence to Evidence"
Governance and Strategic Development of SiS Activities for Children and Young People in the Context of Change
SiS Catalyst & EUCU.NET Joint Conference
University of Ankara, 28th-30th November 2011

"From Providence to Evidence - Governance and Strategic Development of SiS Activities for Children and Young People in the Context of Change" is a merged conference of the SiS-Catalyst project (http://www.siscatalyst.eu) and the European Children's Universities Network - EUCU.NET (http://eucu.net).

The overall aspect of the conference is to support quality development, to support capacity building and to underpin policy with current findings from practice. Moreover, all this shall be reflected in the light of individual learning journeys presented from and discussed among participants in SiS activities for children and young people in previous years - who are possibly adult students nowadays.
The upcoming conference is a perfect opportunity to promote, compare and reflect methodologies, methods and findings from current research in the area of SiS-activities for children and young people. These may be Children's Universities (What is a Children's University? http://eucu.net/resources/about/what-is-a-children_s-university), but also similar activities arranged by science organizations. Focus will be on governance of such activities as well as on impact at institutional or political levels and on society at large.

The findings will be linked with the overall aims of EUCU.NET and SiS-Catalyst and will contribute to the development of a joint approach in research on SiS-activities for children and young people.
