last few years. The rise of open access has led to an increase in demand for
research to be made more accessible, and services such as Altmetric ensure
that the online commentary and engagement relating to research outputs is
more
transparent than ever before.

What role do science communicators have to play in this? In particular, what
impact do those that blog about research have on this broader audience, and
how does this shape how a research output is received?
